The difference with Spirituality from Traditional Education

Creating and implementing Spirituality is very much like going to school and then applying what you’ve learned out in the everyday world. Where some people view Spirituality and everyday living, career, work, family, fitness, finances as separate, they are not.

Learning to understand Spirituality takes a practice, discipline and a process. The difference with Spirituality from traditional education is, Spirituality has you uncover, reveal and bring to light aspects of you, aspects of life and living which had been hidden from you, missing, actually moved from your path of growth. It’s an uncovering of personal truths, that feel good, add value to your life and bring to you love, abundance which in turn builds and creates success, happiness and fulfillment. Just as the tree, which can bear fruits of its labor, so too can you, when understanding this natural order.

Places in your life where you feel drained, depleted, stuck, stagnant, repeating cycles and patterns, unstable, these are ways Spirituality provides an influence, greater awareness and the tools and skills to repair, restore and rebalance you, your life and the world you live in.

Spirituality has a foundation in the natural order of things, growth, expansion, harvest. A birth, death, rebirth cycle that is the ebbs and flows of life.

What I find throws people off the track with Spirituality is not having a foundation to understand the principles, practices and how to apply them without creating disruption in one’s own life.

It requires Endings that with grace flow into New Beginnings.

So how does one go about implementing Spirituality without disrupting their life, work and foundation, while choosing to grow, expand and create the changes they desire?

I believe the first thing is understanding your own foundation, your strengths. Usually strengths revolve around career/work, fitness/health, home/family, relationship/ connection in community, things in your life that create stability. For me, my strength has revolved around health and fitness. Health and fitness has always provided me a stable ground to build on, trust in myself and settle in.

Spirituality involves your relationship and connection to yourself in many ways, from your inner child, masculine & feminine to the environment you find yourself in and the people you’re around.

Holding and understanding your foundation, which is the root chakra through the heart chakra, can remove alot of stress in your life over the struggle and contemplation of what to do next.

As you learn the ebbs and flows, cycles and the ending into new beginnings, you can navigate your life with greater ease. You can enjoy your beloved with deeper and greater love, and you can show up more powerfully and fully as the man or woman you desire to be.

You see with Spirituality, there is no reward, or something to earn. There is no achievement or need to look good or get. With Spirituality you have alignment, the place where your true destiny, your path coincides with the choices, actions, decision and, Trust & Faith you hold.

This give you, the essence of your truth and desires a place, a space to show up. You see, it’s not rewards, recognition, or achievement you truly desire. What you desire is the Truth of you, your desires and your path of excellence and contribution to be expressed to come into your life, to come alive through you.

Spirituality in the presence of practice brings this to you. It’s grounded in your truth and nourished and nurtured by your thoughts actions and beliefs. It comes to light, through the dark and unknown with the ability to apply your skills and tools, your practices to the aspects of you which have been buried, hidden and out of alignment. The ones as I mentioned, you struggle with.

In this you find, happiness, health, healing, vitality, prosperity, joy, pleasure, and all of the aspects of you, you believed were missing. You believed you needed to find or get outside of yourself or didn’t know how to grow and tend to.

Spirituality when implemented into your everyday life offers you this gift. This gift of transformation, of the fruits of your labor, from pain to pleasure, from sadness/despair to joy, from poor to wealth. To see the world through the lens of growth.

Trust The true power you hold within

Trust

Trust is an interesting topic. I believe we’ve been taught, programmed and accepted that trust comes from outside of self, or even put into another power, a higher power.

Yet, there is so much beauty, Self Love and understanding of Self when one places trust in their own hands.

Here is how I understand trust.

It’s a relationship with yourself from your first, second and third chakras. First chakra relates to safety security and place of home. Second chakra relates to pleasure, joy, community, sense of belonging. It relates to your connection to the outer world through your senses. And, third chakra relates to personal power, your own sense of value and worth.

If your first and second chakras are in relationship to how we need each other in a way for survival, what does the model of needing each other look like for thriving? And if personal power is about self worth, how do you choose to show up valuing yourself.

Trust is a relationship you have with yourself. Your ability to know the ground beneath you, your foundation of safety and security, the way you provide for yourself, the way you honor yourself and the way you value and receive your joy and pleasure, this is based on your Self. The self of you that is unshakeable because of the faith and trust you have in who you are and your own personal intimate relationship with Source. Your connection to the ground below you and the sky above you. Ultimately the currency of Self Love, the currency of trust in Self and your Divine Beingness.

Trust holds the power within you. Trust speaks from your foundation of safety and security. You know you are safe, for your truth and your alignment, your integrity are in relationship with how you feel. Yes, how you feel about yourself.

That’s right, feeling. Do you have self love? Do you honor your word? Do you value yourself? Do you find no need to be right, to judge, to control or get anything? Your feelings of self control, a place of freedom, peace, pleasure and joy is the process through which trust comes through.

What I am saying is, when in the feelings, abundant with who you are, through self control, freedom, peace, pleasure and joy, you gain, you earn trust within yourself. And, these feelings become effortless and easy when you are in your truth. From your truth, you trust.

So this is different than trust outside of self. Trust outside of self looks to others, for others to help, for others to be held with some accountability or responsibility. Trust outside of self will find safe ways, things that have some sort of known, comfort or outside authority. Trust outside of self wants to have a proven system or plan, yet, that plan or system may not match your own inner light, being and self. Therefore, if this proven plan or system does not work for you, when in the community, group or tribe, it affects your Trust in self. It makes you wrong. It makes you wrong rather than looking at the perspective that You Are Not Trusting Yourself.

So what if today, you looked at all the ways you can trust yourself. All the ways you can listen to what makes you feel joy, pleasure, self control, freedom and peace. And look at all the things that you can question your own trust. Is it really your trust in yourself or are you choosing to trust a belief and idea outside of yourself.

There is a place to fit into community and to have safety and security. There is also a way to listen and feel from within your own truth, your own power, your light. And when you do, it opens the gates to the beauty and wealth, of Self Love and Currency of Divine Truth, your own inner knowing, where all things move through you.

The willingness to give and the power of receiving; without attachment

Giving and receiving

There is alot of ideas and beliefs about giving and receiving.

I am going to speak about my experience, coming from a place of personal truth and self trust. I call this space Your Heart.

So often we are programmed to receive what is given to us. We don’t always understand, we can choose to say no in a way that speaks from our own truth and personal power. It holds you responsible and accountable for what comes into your life, your energy field.

Maybe you’ve been taught to “be good, or just accept”, possibly to be a people pleaser. You go around receiving experiences, things, feelings, emotions and aspects of life that don’t feel like your truth. They just feel so off course for you, because they are.

Now, let’s get to giving. You enjoy giving, it makes you feel good. When you are asked to give for something that holds opportunity for you that you can’t see, you may back away, you don’t like it. How about giving someone a compliment that holds them beautiful, powerful, smart, successful. This often comes through you from a place of envy, jealousy or wonder. Can you completely give a compliment and walk away.

Can you give of anything and walk away?

Can you give without attachment to what comes back? And, can you give to someone without receiving from them?

Here is what I have to share. Just because you give something to someone, whether it be a compliment, money, time, skills, does not mean you must receive back through them, especially if, what they are giving is not in alignment with what makes you feel good.

So, you ask, how do I not receive from them if I’ve given them money for services? You stepped forward in faith and trust of yourself, in belief of yourself. This is you giving, giving to you- to trust. It is their responsibility to show up as they are. If they are in alignment with their message and offering, it will be a clean clear transaction. Your receiving will be of equal or greater value than your giving.

Now, receiving. As you figure out, choose and decide what you want, it is your responsibility to align your receiving muscles with this and that means saying no, or not allowing that which you don’t want. There will be certain opportunities for you to say yes, as you go, to build along the way. Saying yes to certain experiences, programs, and changes is a stepping stone and allows the Universe to know you are serious and committed to your desired outcome, what you want to receive. It also give you, that’s right gives you the opportunity to experience the changes you want, by starting. Giving yourself the chance to step in without attachment, just opportunity.

Receiving you choose. What becomes so grand about receiving, when you grasp it, you can let go, detach and remove yourself from people, places, even income that is coming in, being received from a place of expectation, expectation from the giver of who you are supposed to be or they need you to be. This in itself frees you in ways that hold you in your brilliance.

It speaks from the heart of who you are.

What you receive, the energy behind someone’s giving is just as important, why they are choosing to give. What is it they need or believe they get from giving?

The point being, hold your power. Give what you have, to give freely- which means no expectation. There is a cost, a price a value on your giving, just no attachment. The significance is always energy and energy from a feeling place. As you build and create these relationships, you feel and appreciate how powerful you are. Powerful because you had nothing to give or receive, what you had was an opportunity and experience to share in mutual value and respect from a place of Your Heart, Self Love.

Receiving. Listen to the person. Are they giving what they think you need or you want to have, or do they truly want you to receive through their heart, their passion. A gift.

Learning to navigate and understand this flow is a beautiful and sometimes messy process.

The outcome is magical. It becomes a true expression of your Self. The whole of you, your inner light of Love, Cherished and Honored.

Resourcefulness. Skin in the game.

Resourcefulness as wealth consciousness.

Resourcefulness as wealth consciousness.

Resourcefulness-

Money in and of itself holds no power. It’s a form of currency, an exchange for services rendered, goods sold and purchased. The essence of power is the actions people take with money, their decisions and choices which is made up of the sum of their beliefs, experiences, habits and patterns about money, value and worth.  Wealth is a choice, it’s a consciousness.

What does this exactly mean?  How much money you have in the bank has no power. If you are saving your money for someday, one day, the right opportunity, you are allowing life to pass you by. Your decision to hold onto your money becomes restrictive, tight. The truest power is in the decision and action to spend your money on that which adds value to your life.  These opportunities to spend money will be in personal growth, new ventures, your lifestyle of health & well being, education and community. Because they are not instant gratification, they many not look or feel like a way you want to spend your money. These ways may look like a waste, unimportant or not essential yet, quite the opposite.  They are the pathway to health, freedom and happiness.

When money is put in the game, an investment where you are required to show up and be a part of the work, you are the investment. Since you value your money, you look for ways to make sure you “get your money’s worth”, find ways to stay involved, participate and being active in how your money is being used plus the actions necessary to achieve your goal. When you say, “I don’t want to pay for that”.  Do you not value the work necessary to achieve you goal.  Are you not committed to your own success.  Skin in the game my friend.  No one is going to do it for you, yet I would put money on it, their are professionals out there with the skills necessary for you to achieve your goals.

What successful people do different and consistently is understand and recognize investing their money will depend upon resourcefulness.  Resourcefulness because, in order to achieve new results, results you want and have not achieved yet will require you to think outside the box, create a new way, new discoveries, new patterns and habits.  This begins with thinking about money in a new way.

Money as a tool.

Money as a tool to build, create and bring into existence what you desire.  Good luck keeping your money all safe and cozy in savings for someday. Someday when.  Someday.

Your life is happening now, today in this moment.  New structures and systems are being built.  If your mindset, actions and habits are to wait, save, not spend, you’re missing out on the greatest opportunities of your life, health and happiness.

That is to live.  To live, push beyond the status quo. Invest in that which has meaning to you. To put the power of your health in your hands, investing in nutrition, fitness and positive lifestyle activities.  Btw, if you believe the current US medical model is invested in people’s health, that they actually care that people live healthy and happy, take a look around. It’s a dis-empowering system.  And as long as you don’t believe you have to invest or spend on you own health, or take the time by cultivating your own resourcefulness in well being, you’ll continue to Wish for solutions.

Wishing and taking actions are two major differences in wealth consciousness and dis-empowerment with money.  Wealth consciousness/resourcefulness takes actions and seeks out results, looking for new ways, new solutions. This mindset and way of being, trusts, believes and nourishes a relationship within self to reach for the unseen, taking risks that say, YES, I AM WORTH IT.

As we move into the second week of  2018, turn it up.  Look at your mindset and beliefs about money.  What ways can you afford to step up your game into wealth consciousness and resourcefulness.  Claim your power with money, take action and improve your well being.  You got this.

Embraced by a larger love, moving from ambition to meaning

Bacons-stained-glass-window-4-largeMoving from ambition to meaning

There comes a point in your life, whether you stop and wonder,  look around you questioning what you have and what you’re doing, or just recognize and acknowledge your life is not everything you want. I’m talking about want from an inner perspective. You see all the things you’ve acquired, the degrees earned, titles held, the way you spend your time energy and money, really hold no meaning to you.  They’re not aligned with your true values. Once you reach this level of consciousness, a whole new world opens up to you, literally and figuratively.

This consciousness brings with it a new level of risk. A risk where you begin trusting in the unseen, you become the observer, peeling back the layers that once held power over you.  It requires humility, compassion and most importantly, self love. This level of risk is a vulnerability to the aspects of your life that you built which held meaning and power to you and for the life you built.

Moving to meaning.  In this new choice, meaning is everything that you value from your heart, body and mind.  It asks for you to listen to the message within your heart, feeling the truth in your body which sets you free.  The feeling of ease, simplicity, grace and flow. It asks your mind to let go, release and surrender to the opening.  It’s only through the crack in the darkness can the light enter.  Like stained glass windows and décor, the effects of the light, sunlight reflecting light can your true beauty shine.  This is your journey through the darkness into the light, where your sense of identity is broken- you transcend into the next phase of your growth. Your truth. Where things hold no meaning over you.

Where you claim your power. The power you hold within, to make conscious choices and decisions, to act from faith and belief in yourself, and to stand your ground for what you believe in.

Empowerment. The true gift in empowerment is you choose where you invest ( I choose not to use the word spend here), your time, energy and money.  When you are empowered the choices you make with your resources, time, energy and money, will add increase to your life and to those you touch.  The resources exchanged will be an asset on both sides, adding to growth.

Let me elaborate.  In ambition, you are looking to get a bigger home, a fancier car, a better body, more of the external with the spending of your resources to get something that you believe will make you have or feel a certain way.  Moving to meaning, you decide to invest your money in a home that makes you feel safe, secure and provides you a temple, a sanctuary to rest your head.  It may still be a big home, yet the meaning behind it is what it provides you.  In that safety and security you make better choices and decisions.  When in meaning, rather than complaining about how much the fitness program costs, the gym, private training, the fresh foods, the time it takes to workout, being to busy, not having any energy, you decide to look at the overall lifestyle of having health, you recognize the investment you are making towards your health which will pay generously as you grow and mature.  You are consciously investing in your health today, so later you’re not at the mercy of the Dr.s and medical system.  In ambition you are looking for doing it all, showing up for everyone.  You want to be seen as successful, only doing it all leaves you unfulfilled on the inside.  In meaning you leave that all behind.  You choose to say, “what makes me happy.  What can I do to be of service that gives to me that which I give to others?”  You decide to find peace, grounding and stability in trusting yourself, your gifts, your OWN INHERENT WORTH, which has nothing to do with a title, money or status.  In this you find Freedom.

You Thrive.

While in meaning you choose habits, patterns, places and experiences that nourish you.  You choose to leave the realm of excuses, problems and difficulties to stand in your place of power in the realm of solutions, gratitude, trust, compassion, and the present moment, a consciousness of richness found within that supersedes anything external.

It is here, You give meaning to your greatest gifts, your values, and power flow through you, from a place of love.

Sensuality, the most intimate part of yourself

While I believe many in society have lost touch with the inner most intimate part of themselves, I don’t believe it was intentional. I see it as a lack of tools, support, programs and a model for society to not pay attention to that aspect of themselves.

That in and of itself has caused a disconnect, a separation of self.

What I have found is within this inner most intimate part of yourself is the richness, fullness, satisfaction and joy you have been looking for.  One of the most intimate parts of yourself is your sensuality. Sensuality gives you the pleasure to experience things from a very powerful place, touching the aspects of yourself that feel, see, hear, taste and touch. How would your world change if you understood how essential your sensuality is for quality of living?

So why would anyone choose to turn that aspect of themselves off? I don’t believe we have consciously made that choice, and I know, we have the power to turn it back on to fuel our lives, when we understand the power it holds for us.

When we come from a place of nourishing our sensuality, your senses, you release the power, money, time and lack have over you.  You step into a world where your experiences hold meaning, keeping your focus and bringing you pleasure, including your feelings and emotions let loose into more freedom, passion and ecstasy.

You see, if the focus has always been on the pain, the struggle, competition, or getting more, you close yourself off to finding the entryway, the pathway to pleasure.  Sure, things may get uncomfortable, even painful, yet that’s your cue to find your sensuality. Where have you been holding back, pretending, feeling guilty, or shame, or expecting things to be easy about wanting what you want, about being so open, receptive in your sensuality.

To ask for what you want and Know, what you want is important, validated and true.

Sensuality asks you nourish your senses through environment, relationship, foods, clothing, sex, movement, and self love. Self Love means putting yourself first.  For me, sensuality is a feeling that touches my spirit from head to toe, opening me up, caressing my skin, bathing my energy in sunlight and seducing me into actions that feel good.

Let go. Find freedom. Sensuality invites you to explore, to let go of expectations and to revel in the moment.

The first step to Self Love through Sensuality is stop the self inflicted pain.  Here are 5 Tools to begin delighting in your Sensuality:

  1. Find some quiet space, settle into yourself.  Notice your feelings, your emotions.  Be present to them, allow them to be.  Set out small pieces of different tastes, textures and colors of food.  As you take one small piece at a time, chew slowly, notice your feelings and emotions. Feel them. What nourishes feelings of pleasure?  What are you open to receiving? Can you appreciate feeling free? Can you let go, allowing joy, pleasure and ecstasy to embrace your whole body?
  2. Take time to write out your vision or goal.  Look at it. Feel it.  How do you need to feel to accomplish your goal? That require you to let go of putting other people first. To achieve your vision you must feel worthy. You must feel capable of accomplishment.  You must be true to yourself.  Honor your self worth.
  3. Start a fitness plan.  Find a fitness program that will encourage all of you, mind body spirit.  A fitness program which steadies your mind, fuels your spirit and opens your body, all connecting to your heart.  I choose yoga as my fitness program.  It grounds me into my present, while channeling my spirit. I can feel all of me, allowing my sensuality of movement to be an expression of me.
  4. Stop following the crowds.  Take time to find out what you want.  Spend time in nature, let go of having everything everyone else has. Find beauty in your uniqueness.
  5. Luxuriate your body. Find natural simple products, less is more.  Have a massage, indulge in a spa day, schedule a full day unplugged with your significant other. Find the beauty, joy and pleasure of you.

Sensuality, the aspect of you that says,

YES I LOVE MYSELF

Faith is true self expression in motion.

The Power of Faith

faith

Faith is true self expression in motion.

Faith is an unseen force. It works in mysterious ways with the ability to create miracles. Faith connects your actions, thoughts and beliefs with the very thing you want. Faith stems from desire. In it’s most magnificent state it brings to life your passion, joy and pleasure. Faith is true self expression in motion.

When coupled with the right circumstances, a letting go of the old and a practice, Faith brings in new beginnings.

At the core of your being are beliefs, thoughts and actions which shape your experiences, from the work you do, the people you meet the places you go and the actions you take. Faith, at it’s deepest level, is the orchestration, the symphony of all of these beliefs, thoughts and actions playing out.

For transformation to occur on it’s deepest level, Faith must be the foundation of your true self, the beliefs you decide to hold, about yourself. Faith is your most intimate connection with your true self and all which connects you to the world.

Now, what you decide to believe about yourself, is up to you. There will always be people who don’t believe what you believe, understand what you understand, or approve what you do. This, is a direct conflict with your personal beliefs about yourself. It doesn’t make you wrong, although it challenges how you see the world. Faith, invites you in. It invites you to take a deeper look at your personal beliefs, your feelings, emotions, thoughts and actions. Your role here, is to cultivate a Faith so strong, no ones beliefs in conflict with yours, will sway you from who you are and what you believe. There is a surrender required for Faith. Surrender asks you to let go of the need to know, and to consistently and passionately commit to your beliefs, without attachment to the outcome.

Building a practice of Faith, a foundation of your beliefs, calls for silencing, quieting of your mind and connecting it with the flow and action of your body, such as a dependable yoga and meditation practice. Mindfulness, a commitment to connecting your thoughts and actions together, what you say you are going to do you do. Simplicity, the act of doing things that you enjoy, brings you pleasure and has your passion turned on. And of course, I AM. The power of I AM, builds the strength and fortitude needed to bring in the new.

Here are 3 necessary steps for a Practice of Faith, true self expression in motion:

  1. Have a conviction, a passion for what what you believe in. It’s essential for you to have a passion for what you believe. Passion connects you at the deepest level to that which you believe. Passion is the driving force that moves you into action and fuels your desires. Passion comes from trusting yourself, what you want and your inner knowing on having it.
  1. Commit to actions and a lifestyle that supports, nourishes and fuels your beliefs. Actions are required in order to move your passion forward. This means, taking actions that may challenge your old out dated belief system in order to build your new one. One step at a time. Action is foundation of doing, this builds and supports your beliefs about You.
  1. Take time for yourself. Build a practice of quieting your mind, grounding your beliefs and intentions and focusing your energy on the positive. Affirmations, journaling, yoga, meditation and quiet alone time all give you the space necessary to develop your personal beliefs. Your beliefs are what sets in motion your faith for what you desire.

The True Essence of Faith, building that which is unseen, is based on Your Personal Commitment to yourself and Your truest beliefs.
