Why women struggle to see the changes they want

For most women it’s not a lack of resources, time, energy or money that holds them back from making the life changes they desire.  Although I hear it all the time from affluent, successful women.  Women who by far have every aspect of comfort and luxury available to them. The real root of the issue is their lack of courage, self confidence, personal power and joy.  Based on the culture values they were raised on, everything was taken care of for them.  There are those women who never had to find their way through a challenge, and the ones that did, were so afraid of real survival issues, found a way to settle in, leaving the past behind, yet never really reconciling the emotional scars.

Now is the time to bring to light, to confront the real fears holding women back, stuck in fear, lack and limitation.

This requires them to face the only person who can save them, and that is themselves.

It can be scary, uncomfortable and risky to think about having to look at yourself in the mirror. To see all the ways you gave up on yourself, in order to get validation of who you are in the world.

Where do we begin? And why?

First we begin with accepting yourself. Forgiving yourself for believing others, trying to keep others happy and forgive yourself for giving up on yourself. Accept the woman you are right now, today. The woman who stands before you in front of the mirror and tell her, you love her.

Look at your confidence, power, and joy. What do you notice?  How do these resources make you feel? Do you know what they are, from within you? How do they show up in your life, or are they missing?

If these are the resources missing, congratulate yourself for your awareness, recognizing thy’re missing and why you’re held back from making the desired changes you’ve been looking to make. You traded your confidence, power and joy in exchange for time, energy and money as opposed to weaving and blending the two together. You gave up on one for the other, and you wonder why you’re not succeeding in making the changes you desire.

So now, it’s time to head in a new direction. That means to take new actions.  This requires courage.  Courage is the key that unlocks the door to the tower you’ve locked yourself away in. No one can do it for you. It’s about taking one step at a time, an action that will set you on a new path, which involves a risk.  Look at it this way.  Every time you step into a courageous action you build your account of confidence, power and joy.

Accept yourself. Look at yourself.  You deserve more.  Not more things.  More, joy, passion, pleasure and love. That can only come from you taking action for your desires.

The biggest challenge is getting started, and since you haven’t been privy to taking actions, risk taking, and courage, it’s like death.  Yes, I know, it feels like death.  That’s it sister. Crossing the threshold into unknown territory will challenge your opposites, life and death. To gain new life you will have to cross over the death of the old into the new.  Living a life in fear.  Living a life attached to outside resources, that’s not living.  That’s keeping you locked in your ivory tower. Your confidence, power and joy, will open you in ways that will shake you to the core, freeing you.

It is freedom you seek.  You thought you’d find it in time, energy and money.  Doing more, having more.

Freedom.  Now you know, your freedom is found in your confidence, power and joy.  Go. Find it, make it happen.

I believe in you.

Success and Business. Gaining an edge, standing out from the crowd

Succeeding in business takes persistence, commitment and drive to succeed, while implementing an impeccable work ethic and a positive mental attitude highlights your drive to succeed. Gaining confidence, knowing your strengths and taking action towards your goals provides you the stamina necessary to get where you are going, and keeps you moving forward.

Here are 7 skills to Gain an Edge, Stand Out from the Crowd

  1. Know your goals.  Have clear definitive goals on what you want to accomplish in business such as  job title, salary, company you want to work for, and work you do. These goals give you a structure to work in, like a road map.  By staying focused on your business goals you’ll pay attention to opportunities, take action towards your goals and keep moving forward.
  2. Think outside the box.  Businesses today are looking for leaders who are willing to lead the way, to bring ideas to the table with creative thinking.  Be an asset to a company by providing them valuable ways to solve problems and come up with new ways to generate income or provide better service.
  3. Know your strengths.  Building yourself up as an asset to your company, a valuable team player, requires you to know what strengths you bring to the business. Knowing your best skills, where you shine, provides you a way to communicate and act from focus, while asking for collaboration and cooperation with others creates a  business team that leads to results. By taking action from your place of power, your strengths, you open yourself to greater confidence, clarity in your communication style and showcase your ability to lead.
  4. Stay in the game.  Take action, take initiative. Being able to consistently challenge yourself, growing with new opportunities and a willingness to be uncomfortable gives you the skills and courage to stay in the game.  Business is not about being easy, it’s about challenging yourself to be your best and making it look easy.
  5. Take chances.  One of the greatest skill sets that successful business men and women have is the ability to trust their instinct/intuition and take chances.  Chances provide you the opportunity to stretch yourself, to test your limits.  It’s gives you the experience necessary to learn. Chances lead to success and to failure and failure is an important step in the process.  It’s not failure unless you stay down.  It’s the getting up where strength, courage, inner worth and desire to succeed are produced.  The more chances you take the better you get at taking them.
  6. Use your instinct and intuition, trust it.  Instinct and intuition are an internal compass, pointing you in the direction to go. It takes skill, time, patience and practice to use them well.  Time alone, reading, meditating, working out, yoga, fishing, being in nature are some ways to provide you the resources you need to build your instinct and intuition.  Listen to your inner voice, trust in the wisdom, the actions to take and your ability to succeed.
  7. Surround yourself with like minded people.  People who succeed spend time with others who succeed, think of it as “The Success Club”.  They hold each other up, celebrate successes, build you up and know you’re on the move.  People with goals, visions and direction have no time for stories, problems or distractions. Find people who have the success you want and spend time with them, join their circle of friendship.  Attend events with other success driven people.  Go be the successful business man/woman you want to be.

Create a plan, have a vision and go out and get it.  Succeeding in business requires you to do the personal work necessary to grow, step out on a limb and take flight.  Be bold, be courageous and be the woman or man everyone wants to do business with.

Resourcefulness. Skin in the game.

Resourcefulness as wealth consciousness.

Resourcefulness as wealth consciousness.

Resourcefulness-

Money in and of itself holds no power. It’s a form of currency, an exchange for services rendered, goods sold and purchased. The essence of power is the actions people take with money, their decisions and choices which is made up of the sum of their beliefs, experiences, habits and patterns about money, value and worth.  Wealth is a choice, it’s a consciousness.

What does this exactly mean?  How much money you have in the bank has no power. If you are saving your money for someday, one day, the right opportunity, you are allowing life to pass you by. Your decision to hold onto your money becomes restrictive, tight. The truest power is in the decision and action to spend your money on that which adds value to your life.  These opportunities to spend money will be in personal growth, new ventures, your lifestyle of health & well being, education and community. Because they are not instant gratification, they many not look or feel like a way you want to spend your money. These ways may look like a waste, unimportant or not essential yet, quite the opposite.  They are the pathway to health, freedom and happiness.

When money is put in the game, an investment where you are required to show up and be a part of the work, you are the investment. Since you value your money, you look for ways to make sure you “get your money’s worth”, find ways to stay involved, participate and being active in how your money is being used plus the actions necessary to achieve your goal. When you say, “I don’t want to pay for that”.  Do you not value the work necessary to achieve you goal.  Are you not committed to your own success.  Skin in the game my friend.  No one is going to do it for you, yet I would put money on it, their are professionals out there with the skills necessary for you to achieve your goals.

What successful people do different and consistently is understand and recognize investing their money will depend upon resourcefulness.  Resourcefulness because, in order to achieve new results, results you want and have not achieved yet will require you to think outside the box, create a new way, new discoveries, new patterns and habits.  This begins with thinking about money in a new way.

Money as a tool.

Money as a tool to build, create and bring into existence what you desire.  Good luck keeping your money all safe and cozy in savings for someday. Someday when.  Someday.

Your life is happening now, today in this moment.  New structures and systems are being built.  If your mindset, actions and habits are to wait, save, not spend, you’re missing out on the greatest opportunities of your life, health and happiness.

That is to live.  To live, push beyond the status quo. Invest in that which has meaning to you. To put the power of your health in your hands, investing in nutrition, fitness and positive lifestyle activities.  Btw, if you believe the current US medical model is invested in people’s health, that they actually care that people live healthy and happy, take a look around. It’s a dis-empowering system.  And as long as you don’t believe you have to invest or spend on you own health, or take the time by cultivating your own resourcefulness in well being, you’ll continue to Wish for solutions.

Wishing and taking actions are two major differences in wealth consciousness and dis-empowerment with money.  Wealth consciousness/resourcefulness takes actions and seeks out results, looking for new ways, new solutions. This mindset and way of being, trusts, believes and nourishes a relationship within self to reach for the unseen, taking risks that say, YES, I AM WORTH IT.

As we move into the second week of  2018, turn it up.  Look at your mindset and beliefs about money.  What ways can you afford to step up your game into wealth consciousness and resourcefulness.  Claim your power with money, take action and improve your well being.  You got this.
